Ferrule Labs Installation Notes
Thank you for your purchase! We’re excited to be a part of your build.
3D-printed ferrules require a different process than other ferrules. Please carefully read the installation instructions. Failure to do so could result in damage to the installed ferrules, such as cracking and stress fractures.
Ferrule Labs does not recommend using any force to install a ferrule onto the shaft. ANY force can cause the ferrule to crack, split, or become damaged during installation.
Do not use any force to push the ferrule up the shaft. If the ferrule feels snug at all on your shaft, ream the inner diameter to enlarge the ferrule before installation. This can be done using a reamer, cylindrical file, or sandpaper. Remove a small amount of material at a time and test the fit frequently.
Continue reaming until the ferrule moves freely up the shaft and can slide slightly past the area where it will sit above the hosel. The ferrule should be able to reach its proper position without any force. It is important to note that the ferrule needs to be able to move freely even slightly past where the ferrule will be installed.
Taking a few extra moments to achieve the proper fit will help ensure a clean installation and prevent damage to the ferrule.
Ferrule Labs is not responsible for damage caused by improper installation, excessive force, modification, or failure to follow the provided installation instructions.
